We believe that with the proper instruction and reinforcement, most children can perform at the level we now call gifted.
Our philosophy is to provide fun, interactive early learning programs while infusing a love of learning in children through preschool, early elementary school and beyond.
We strongly believe that a child’s early learning years are vital and set the stage for a child’s future success.
Your child’s learning potential is at the heart of every FasTracKids® experience. FasTracKids instructors are required to attend a training to receive certification in the FasTracKids teaching methodology. After certification, instructors continue ongoing professional development in order to maintain certification, receive updated information about best practices and empowering each child to reach their full potential. Development training and seminars are focused on creating a classroom that emphasizes student learning based on the following theorists:
Instructors must understand the developmental milestones put forth by leading educational researcher Jean Piaget. Jean Piaget’s Stages of Cognitive Development theory is utilized throughout every FasTracKids program in order for instructors to best stimulate your student’s learning in order to achieve age appropriate milestones.
Eric Jensen’s groundbreaking work in brain-based learning helps instructors understand the cognitive development of young children. His theory is focused on how children learn while creating the optimum environment for maximum learning to occur. His book, Teaching with the Brain in Mind informs teachers on the neurological development that occurs when students are given the proper stimulation to foster brain development. Your child will be immersed in rich experiences that promotes brain development.
The FasTrack System relies on an environment that is centered on student learning and interaction. Instructors are trained to ask stimulating questions in order to arouse student thinking. Using Bloom’s taxonomy as a guide to create high level questions, the FasTracKids classroom gives your student the opportunity to think creatively and critically. Using Bloom’s methods of inquiry students become empowered to learn and establish a foundation for self-learning and discovery.
Through professional development seminars and the use of the FasTrack® Learning Potential Assessments, instructors become experts in individualizing learning for each student. Based on Howard Gardner’s work on learning preferences, FasTracKids instructors tailor each lesson plan to meet the learning needs of each student in their classroom. Utilizing Gardner’s eight learning preferences to guide them, teachers spend planning time creating a classroom to meet your child’s unique need.
Reggio Emilia is an educational philosophy coming from post-World War II Italy. This philosophy promotes a great respect for children and the learning process. One of the ways in which they honor this process is through careful documentation of children’s work. FasTracKids instructors learn the importance of documentation. This provides an avenue for teacher and parents to gain insight into the depth of student learning. It also provides a concrete trail of the progress children make.
Montessori is just one aspect of learning at of our preschools powered by FasTracKids. Montessori is an early learning philosophy pioneered by Maria Montessori based on her research of children’s natural eagerness to learn and independence. Our preschool programs share many values with Montessori, such as mixed age classrooms, freedom of movement and our own specially developed materials. Our preschool teachers encourage children to learn and explore on their own, just like Montessori teachers. Our programs are designed to unlock your child’s potential. We strive to unlock the potential in all children. The future of our world depends on the education of our children.
FasTracKids weaves together some of the most prominent, international educational philosophies to ensure that your child’s learning occurs at a level that is appropriate for their age but helps them reach their potential.
