Summer Reading Program
Keep your child’s brain active this summer! We offer a structured summer reading tutoring program to help improve reading comprehension while school is out. Commonly known the as the summer slide, children lose up to 1/3 of knowledge when they aren’t actively learning over the summer break. Our summer reading program helps maintain interest and builds reading skills during this lull in the academic school year.

Our NYS certified teachers give each child a diagnostic assessment at the beginning of the program in order to develop a customized learning plan that we will follow throughout the summer. Our program, in line with the common core standards, is designed to be tailored for each individual child. We can help your child prepare for the upcoming school year in a fun, laid back setting appropriate for the summer season.
One of our goals is trying to get each and every one of our students to the top of their class. While it may seem like getting your child ahead is a daunting task, a new study shows that it may only take a few minutes more, at least for reading skills.
According to a November 2015 report based on almost 10 million students, a small amount of additional reading each day separated the students struggling and students who are on or exceeding standards–4.7 minutes, to be exact. Read the full article.
